* Nature is beautiful, being surrounded by it is calming and inspiring.
* People are too reliant on supermarkets and other modern conveniences, learning to survive in the wild, bushcraft, identifying bushtucker etc to me is are dying skills that more people should learn.
* Exercise is great. Humans evolved physically to walk ~15km a day. Its natural for us. Plus it feels good, elevates mood, boosts immune system - numerous health benefits.
* Adventurous spirit, wanderlusting. Whats over that mountain? Whats down that valley? A deep seeded curiosity and willingness to explore.
* Escapism from the modern construct of work. Deadlines, 60hr weeks, stress, fast-paced lifestyle. It catches up with you, feels unnatural, its unhealthy and hence needs escaping from. I can't wait for the day I can afford to leave it behind.
