In my line of work, we stay at the site of a fire until its out. This means that i will camp in remote areas for up to 16 days at a time quite frequently. that provides most of my camping and hiking needs through the summer, and since its seasonal I can snowboard, XC ski, and winter camp all winter. it has even allowed me to travel for deployments. I have gone to Montana, and the Northwest Territories, and both times we got to do a lot of hiking while getting paid.
