She's an awesome hiking companion too. Willow doesn't leave the trail or wonder off when we stop for a rest. She ignores other dogs and hikers while alerting me to unseen wildlife. To me, she's the perfect size because she can carry food and water. Also, if Willow gets injured I can quickly carry he out if I need to (I'm a lady sc/out/). Another bonus is the fact that she will protect me if I'm alone and some weirdo is creeping me out (it's happened before).
