Personally I like to wear linen or cotton long sleeve shirts when cycling, I can roll the sleeves up if it's hot. So ideally a linen shirt would be next to my skin; then possibly a cotton hoodie for warmth.
I like the look of this RAB hoodie, I'd rather put money into this than a merino longsleeve.
