Meetup might work. I have had zero luck with it but I live in a tech-dead region where people are afraid of social media. I got lucky by having a recently divorced neighbor make me brownies one day and she had all the same hobbies. I've just gotten really good at being alone on outings and not caring about the dying so much. My last trip I got stranded on a tidal island by myself.
