>Why is it good? That's kinda hard to answer. It has advantages over some of the others with respect to what you intend to use it for. It's gonna be pretty easy to sharpen. It will be sharper than say a scandi/Sabre friend but will be more brittle. You see full flat most often in chef knives.
With respect grinds it's all about weighing sharpness for how brittle the edge will be lost. I can't answer that for you as I dot know what you need a knife for.
