Used to live in Illinois and hit up great lakes salmon runs all the time with friends and local bass in the spring summer and fall and would ice fish all the time. Now that I live here its like I have to pull teeth with people to go with me. No one gives a fuck that I meet.
It's ironic because Arizona has a surprising amount of lakes and ponds and river fishing but everyone is too busy smoking weed or being a piece of shit to go anywhere.
Even bought a Tonto pass for the year to park at some of the lakes so people can ride with me and not pay and people still won't go.
I'm getting genuinely depressed friends of the internet. The last two weekends I have just laid in bed staring at the ceiling. Didn't ever think I would miss the Midwest man...
People here are garbage. It's the city life that turns everyone to shit or something. I'm trapped in a giant sprawling suburb.
Been chasing after flathead and can't figure it out catching them yet. Got a lot of channel cats, bass, trout, etc etc....
Being an adult sucks. People look at you like your crazy if you just ask them at random to hang out or go fishing. I'm only 23 but this shit is seriously making me depressed.
Sorry for the blog post but if anyone knows a local club or meet up or something please tell me. I will even hang out with 70 year olds. I don't care.
