These forests are far more biodiverse than second growth muh trees all the same size bs.
Those massive trees feed multiple different ecosystems as you go higher up the trunk.
All of these disappear or lose a ton of genetic diversity if you fuck with them and create an "equality" among trees and excess resources for all of them.
You can use permaculture on barren land to speed up the process, but leave forests alone
