Howdy, looking for some sage insight into a business plan I have for this season.
Starting a small urban farm in my backyard, pic related.
With my soil being dogshit I've opted to build above ground until the mulch I've layered it with successfully decomposes.
Outside of my main idea, that being some sort of vertical growing space such as in shoe racks or vertical frames, are there any other ideas you might have as to how I can produce a large quantity of produce in such a confined space?
I'll be following the growing choices of most urban farmers: leafy greens and herbs. While I'm the dude with the #BEPPERGANG post, I don't plan on trying to grow large amounts of fruiting plants as I've seen time and time again how much trouble they can be when it comes to feeding and protecting them.
I'm at that difficult crossroad as a beginner where I'm finding that golden mean of not biting off too much but making sure I'm not slacking off and weakening the farm's overall potential.
