There is a massive surplus auction in Arizona where there are mega warehouses that don't get a lot of mold due to the climate. That is where a majority of US suppliers get their yearly surplus from. Just keep an eye on the market. You want a high wool content, usually 80%+. The reproduction comes from India where they mix rubber and poo into the weave.
I wouldn't necessarily go camping with wool unless you are okay going with a much heavier weight, but i've got them loaded up at home.
