>>2376298Another time I was camping in Algonquin park in Ontario in the late fall. I hiked in with dry cold weather (probably 20 degrees) and it was supposed to stay that temp or lower thru the weekend. The next night the temp rose and rain came in. I remember sitting in my tent with the rain pouring down at about 3am. I decided I needed to hit the trail back to car (about 15 mile hike) as soon as it was light.
I basically hiked back through shin deep mud for 15 mile in freezing rain. I had a good rain shell and decent boots but I knew if I stopped I would freeze, so I just kept moving to stay warm.
