pros:
- quite small / lightweight
- so cheap you'd probably get one against your head for free if surfing ebay for too long
- nice base for modding (has filter mount despite being a fugly compact)
- supports warp mode via CHDK (max exposure time will probably fry the sensor when on mains power supply, else the batteries will go first)
cons:
- 8MP
- will continue draining battery slowly if they are left in cam
- LCD and viewfinder are on the small side; you'd have to use tricks to properly adjust sharpness.
