>>2114353I have been looking at a pot like this as well, for a small one persons cooking kit for solo trips. A local hardware store is selling these no brand ones (pic related) for 22€. There are Primus Litech Trekking kettles going for 39€ at the local camping store, so I am wondering whether to go with the cheap no brand one, or pay the double and get the Primus one. I haven't yet bought a stove either, but most likely I am going with an MSR Pocket Rocket 2 or something similair, small and light.
>>2113894That time we had juice boxes and glucose tablets for her lows, because it was only a dayhike, but thanks for the idea with those powdered drink mixes. I need to find something similair for longer hikes, since there is no way we are going to carry juice boxes on multi night hikes. In Finland we do not sadly have kool-aid or anything similair tho, the only powdered drinks available are sports drink powders and ice tea powder mixes. Also we were thinking about purchasing an epipen-like glucose pen for her in case she actually passes out on the trail for some reason, so I could administer her with that for first aid, do you have experiences with those? Also, do you hike alone or do you have someone with you during your hikes?
