Somebody mentioned using weighted hooks instead of regular jig heads for swim baits. So I was checking them out today. I noticed a lot of them have this little spring deal on them. What is the purpose of that spring?
I ended up buying some without that spring because I had no clue what it did. One more question, why are all of those weighted swimbair hooks fuckhueg? The ones I grabbed are size 3/0 and I think they only weigh 1/16oz. I'm sure the weight of the swimbait will add enough to make it cast fine. But I would've preferred 1/8oz except all of those hooks were huge. I wanted to buy something that I could still hook into a 2"-3" minnow bait.
