>>240839The mesh inner is not good in cold weather and strong winds. The snow gets inside the tent, also because the top sail sits 10 cm above the ground so there is room for the snow and wind to enter. This is very good in the summer, but not in the winter beacuse the snow melts on your (down) sleeping bag.
You could at one point get a tent called hubba hubba hp. This had solid inner and was more closed. There is also a new version of the hubba huba called nx which also seems stronger, but I have not tried it.
The hubba hubba as such is not at all flimsy. It will take a lot of wind, but in strong winds it bends very easily. I only remember a couple of times when I had to take the tent down due to strong winds. In Patagonia and in Greenland. I was afraid the tent would break if I didn't. Both times it was more than 20 m/s winds ~ 45 mph winds. This is the limit I think.
It is not a 4 season tent, but can be used in everything except harsh winters. It is a truly great tent, and I have tried a lot of different tents. (I am the one in

Pic related. My hubba hubba in a very exposed river valley in Greenland. I had to take it down later that day due to very strong winds. The Helsport was a lot better in those winds.
