>>2597543the outings were off to a slow start due to the winter and early dark being kind of depressing for my then weak mind, but with the coming of june it became more frequent. one evening I remember in particular was a bicycle trip where early on I fell off like a retard and cut my hands, and considered returning home to clean the wounds. but instead I went on and did an hour of cycling up to some nature reserve outside town. here I parked the bike and walked through a forest down to a lake. I remember the weather being absolutely perfect, and it being so late in the evening that there were no other people in the area, just singing birds keeping me company. I remember the pink sky of the midnight sun reflected in the water of the lake. I knew that what I felt that evening was what life should be about.
pic related was not taken that day but about a week or two later, at 04:30 during a bicycle trip in the very early morning. it was much the same, perfect weather and almost no people, just morning sun and peace and quiet. absolutely beautiful. sorry for writing such a blogpost, but it's the three year anniversary of that evening and it feels really good to think back on it.
