Light's about $60, 2xAA, LED, stupid-fucking-bright with a couple of lower powers and special modes (strobe, SOS-mode).
Filter kit's about $15. I don't use it much, but I'll grab the kit if there's a chance I might need it. Camping, I really don't use the diffusers much.
As a light, it's a terrific EDC choice. Had mine for a couple of years and it's done well. Runs forever on a pair of batteries.
As a weapon light ... I wouldn't trust it. I can lock up the micro, requiring a battery removal and waiting a few minutes for everything to clear out before the light works again. It's rare, and not something you'll do in normal use ... but because of that, I'll buck up teh $ for a Surefire on my gunz.
