>>1939632Utah is mostly conifers like in this pic, but some areas in the Wasatch get colors like that first pic in the fall. The first pic is near Snowbasin Utah. The canyons can also get pretty green. I'm not really sure why, but Utah seems to be the most colorful of the western states in terms of foliage.
I've been wanting to visit some friends out in Pennsylvania to exploring and see what a truly heavily forested area looks like. Utah's nice, but I've never seen a forest that sprawls out endlessly in every direction, which sounds really cool.
