I'm going to try and bike across America this summer.
I'm 20 years old, I've been lifting for two years (started fat as shit, now I'm 165 with a 245 bench, 305 ATG squat, and a 375 deadlift), and have been doing long distance running for 6 months now (I run three times a week, I'm running a half marathon in a week and a half.)
However, I have set out with this dream of leaving from Delaware and ending in Los Angelos. I'm going to graduate in a couple years and have a job, and I won't be able to do this. It's strange- when I die, I'm going to look back at the things I did and to know that I was able to cross a continent- I won't regret that, ever. I want to bring a gopro, and just film the whole thing. Talk to strangers, ask them questions, idk.
I'm planning on leaving in May.
So yeah. That's my pitch. Any serious bikers on here with advice?
