How close to my septic systems leech field can I plant a garden. I have an acre that is largely shaded, and the only sunny space on it turns out to be the leech field. Adjacent to and uphill of that is a large side that can be made sunny with some tree removal. Can I start the first bed just like 10 or 15 feet from the last leech field pipe or is that pushing it?
