It has been about 1 week since I put up the plastic tunnel over the tomato plants. Since then outside temperatures have dropped to around 20F/-6C. I checked the tomato plants today to see how they fared and to pollinate the flowers.
There was a little bit of cold damage in one section (bottom left image). Some fruit and flowers fell off. There's still quite a few fruit and flowers that are doing well. I added more containers of water. All in all, with only 1 layer of plastic, a few days of some snow/sleet, and only 3 days of good sun max, I'd say this did pretty well.
I think I'll add one more layer of plastic over it and see about filling the rest of the surface with containers of water. I need to get some thermometers for air and soil and fix up some vents, if temps get too high inside when the sun is out fully.
