One time a pack of wolves circled his tent, got out with a stick, yelling and swinging it at 'em, they all ran off. Animals, namely bears and wolves are more skittish and scared of us than we are of them. Supernatural doesn't exist, don't let that bother you, the only thing you have to be worried about in the woods is getting yourself injured, stranded, or out of food supplies, that's it.
