it was terrifying, I mean my dad isnt like a 'stone faced serious 100% man' type but he was reliable and knew what he was doing and before that incident I always just followed his lead, helpful and carried my weight but never really took initiative or anything. He was fine once we got down to about 8 or 9 thousand feet. Since then I've become way more involved, so in a way I'm glad it happened, made me realize you can't rely too much on one person and me more independent when we're out in the parks.
