New to lure fishing and deep diving, floating hardbody type lures (like in pic) are the only type I have used successfully but want to branch out and use other types of lures for when the situation arises.
People say spinnerbaits are almost impossible to snag but there is around $80 worth of mine all along the river proving otherwise. Also, would it be better to have a soft tip rod for spinners? A few small guides I read suggest trying to keep "in touch" with the spinner on it's way down but even with large heavy spinners I can't notice a damn thing with the 6ft hard tip ugly stik rod I mainly use.
