You are still paying $40 for $5 worth of labor and materials. When you buy a Benchmade, you are paying $150 for $5 worth of materials, plus a bunch more for their R&D, warranty, advertising, quality control, US labor prices, plus whatever US-based retailer you go through. The Chinese don't have to pay any of that so they are still collecting their shekels just fine off of stolen IP.
