dunno why it was bent, obviously it had been pinned down by a fallen tree or something and miraculously survived and thrived. it was there 45 years ago when my parents cleared the land and has slowly been straightening itself out over the decades. i should ask my dad if he remembers what the deal was when they initially cleared the yard
