I wasn't going to shoot him, so doing what I can to look like I wasn't shook up was the best I could do. He was obviously freaking out when he realized what he'd done, because my family's decently influential, and I can't imagine anything good coming of that unresolved tension. The guy owns a little bit of land ajdacent to ours and I'd be doing my father a disservice by not smoothing over that relationship in case Dad wants to buy the guy's place or request an easement. Would it be more alpha to flee into the woods screaming "RREEEEE"?
