Gonna post my first day fishing, solo. (did twice with my dad in the past)
Fished in pic related, occasionally go to this place just to play guitar and decided to start my fishing adventures here.
I knew well that sunnies like to chill around the edges of the lakes where the boulders lie, and I ended up catching two just by dangling bait over the rock I was on.
Got nothing else tho. From the park's website
>Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Perch
It was heck of a hot day and there wasnt much shade/structure other than where I got the two sunfish right below me, so I wonder where those bass were.
Also there was this place where I snagged a few times right offshore,
what do you guys think about getting some waders and seeing if I can pull out a log with like twenty lures on it?
I saw a dude using fricking shrimp (think it was even cooked shrimp since it was pink), or at least just a few shrimp on the ground when I walked back on the trail. I took one of them and tried casting, but it didnt secure it on the hook enough.
Why use shrimp? Seems hella expensive for just some bait
