>>1587732Same things happen to wild animals, parasites, diseases, predation, starvation and thirst. All mitigated on a farm. Sheep are not more prone to any of these by their breeding, but they will grow a ridiculously long and heavy coat after few years which would make them less fit. At which stage they have had 2-3 lambs per year anyway, and their teeth might be getting bad making it harder to feed. The population will live on just fine in the wild, some breeds probably better than others, but as with many traditionally farmed animals has a much more comfy life on a farm. Just think, they literally have a human shaving their ass for them to maximize their health.
