FUN FACT: The thing with adding milk or something like that is actually a psychology thing. First all of ready made dishes (starting with cakes) were all-in-one sets, but the housewives wouldn't want to buy them as they were ashamed of not doing anything on their own basically. So they made them add an egg or milk or something like that that they brought in on their own. This made them feel more like they made it on their own and they were less ashamed to buy it.
