I know that on the east coast in the upper middle classes, marriages have a decent chance of survival , more than 50/50.
But I live out west and am blue collar at best. There is no way I am going live the second half of my life as a divorced man paying child support for kids I see twice a year. Not worth the risk.
YMMV but its not for me.
I have seen far too much divorce rape to fall for that.
