Did have a bit of a weird situation though
>Another guy there has a sick squirrel wander out from behind his camp on Friday, thing was barely moving and was infested with maggots
>He gets his pistol to put it down, but after the 4th .22 round it decides to sort of run up a tree
>Guy grabs his .270 and shoots it, it manages to crawl another 10 feet up the tree before kicking the bucket
>Thing didn't even bleed after being shot 5 times
>Next day, a sick armadillo wanders out from behind his building again
>Thing was dragging part of its face along, and was dragging itself in circles
>Take out my pistol to put it down
>Standing over it, put a 9mm round right between its front shoulders
>Starts waddling away, put 2 more rounds in its head
>And a 4th round where I thought its heart would be
>Rounds 5-9 were less precise but all hit their mark (A whopping 2 feet away)
>Perplexed I walk over to grab my rifle, by the time I walk back it's escaped and end up tracking down where it died about 150 feet away
>Not a single drop of blood to be found, save a few drops directly around the perforations in the thing
