if you do decide to go to higher risk places here's some advice
1.be fucking quiet!
2.only use your light if its absolutely necessary (moonlight is plenty of light outside and even in buildings with open windows you can get around pretty easily)
3.pay attention! look for cameras and motion detectors if the place is still active. also some security is sneaky and will sit in their truck while its off and watch for people.
4.always have a camera and NEVER have weapons or anything like that because that throws your "im just an explorer wanting some cool pics" defense out the window (which is probably the most effective defense if caught)
5.NEVER RUN! always hide, if they see you running then the police get involved and they think your an actual criminal. but if you are seen then just walk up to them and be cool and tell them you just got in and were gonna take some pics. usually they'll make you leave and unless they're dicks then the cops will show up and give you a trespassing ticket (unless you have weapons or "burglary tools" then you're fucked).
