I've been doing a bit of fly fishing on lochs recently (from the bank). When I'm unsuccessful fly fishing I like to fire a bit of Powerbait onto my fly to increase the chances of a catch. My issue is that I can't keep the bait on the hook, while also getting it out a decent distance - probably more than halves my cast distance.
Any body have any tips - other than using a spinning setup? I wondered if putting a few lead shot on a foot from the fly might help.
