Alright, Three melons officially ready and done. Gave one away, so here's two. They look really good, smell really sweet too. There are several more on the vines which will take anywhere from a few more days to a little over another week.
Anyways, the melon experiment is basically done at this point. Now it's pumpkin season. Of the 8 seeds I planted, 5 have sprouted now. Just waiting on those last three. Aaaaany day now...
In any case, this is the main event, the one I'm most excited about. I hope to be as hands off and low maintenance as possible, that's what the hugel was for, but I will absolutely coddle them (from a distance of course). God, I love pumpkins.
