That's normally the lightest setup I have with me unless I'm specifically going after those guys. Like I said, I'm normally hitting them on #2 or #3 Agilas or ~2.5" Rapalas while searching for sneks or small bass.
The small jig I posted in that pic earlier could def get the larger Mayans. Their mouths are pretty small, but I can normally just barely lip them with my fat thumbs.
I think those Pac Chunks on a Texas rig with a 2/0 or 1/0 offset worm hook (non-EWG) with a 1/8oz bullet could get their attention. They will sometimes nip at larger brush hogs and crawdads.
Otherwise I could just break out the UL with 6lb braid and get a 1/8oz or 1/16oz underspin with a 1.5" curly tail grub or Gulp minnow on there.
