The more deep into the heart of the Ozark mountains/towards the Arkansas border the poorer & more rural it gets/more Cletus & his meth trailer operation it gets along with the poorer soil quality. Most Southern Missouri Farmers graze cattle vs Central & Northern Missouri which has good soil and mostly raises corn & s&y bean. I recommend Osage county honestly as its one of the whitest counties in the entire US & has both the benefits of the Ozark Mountains with the good soil quality of central/northern Missouri along with prime/easy access to rivers for float trips or fishing and the foothills of the ozarks in case you want a view or a house that overlooks the osage or missouri rivers.
