The West Highland way is great but often very busy and you'll feel like an ant following others in a line. It isn't so much a hiking trail as a rural pub crawl if you time it right.
I would heavily recommend the Skye Trail, pic related. No set route really, just the top point to the southern point. You get to go through a lot of lovely Scottish scenery, there are bothies to stay at and plenty of capacity for wild camping, plus you won't meet many normies because you need to be able to read a map.
