>>1987937good to know about the spores, hearing someone else say it makes me feel a bit better about it. couple questions though.. so if the spores travel on the wind, will i find mushrooms growing all over my property if i plant them? i guess that wouldn't really be bad, considering they are edible anyway, but i'm kind of scared of mushrooms taking over my garden...growing out of my house..etc..
what do you (or anyone reading) think about growing winecaps as a companion to corn? i haven't been able to find guides on doing it or much research either but it is definitely something people do. wiki said that growing them together is an "ancient" european technique, which is kind of strange considering corn is a new world crop. here is an article i found on it
https://fungi.com/blogs/articles/companion-planting-with-the-garden-giant>garden giant is just another name for winecapi'm interested in inoculating logs with mushroom spawn, but i'm a landlet with no woods and no idea how to get fresh cut logs to inoculate... have 40+ sheep though so lots of straw, i felt like that would be good to grow shrooms out of combined with wood chips in little sectioned off garden beds
