My monthly Smitty's fly box arrived today! Two new patterns.
This month's beginner pattern is called an Ice Minnow. Materials in the box include: 20 size 10 streamer hooks, 6/0 Uni thread in red, one pack each of olive and white marabou, one package each of olive and pearl ice dubbing and one pack each of copper and silver brass cone heads. Not included, is lead wire. They say they don't include it because some states prohibit it. Why they don't send lead free wire instead probably comes down to their bottom line. But I have lead wire, so no big deal.
