I glamp and camp both.
Both are fun in their own ways.
We grew up tent camping, didn't have much stuff, was very much camping. Over the years we got more and more euipment, and became easier. Before you know it we had whole kitchen setups in the woods and we're eating like kings. That's when it started to become glamping. Then we started moving to RV's. Started with pop ups, then trailers and fifth wheels. Definitely glamping.
I got married last year and bought a camper (travel trailer). No its not "camping" but we love it. We can take it to an area, camping for $30 a night (opposed to $150+ for hotel) and have a great time.
I also have everything I need to backpack and hammock camp. So, when I want quiet and outdoors, I hike and hammock, when I want to travel and sightsee, I glamp.
