Need some guidance on what/where to plant, working on a backyard garden now that we've closed on our house. The shitty mspaint diagram is what we're planning so far, along with a greenhouse kit that we got on discount. I'm setting up lattices along the top (southern) fence for plants that need them, and the raised gardens will be separated into a quad for watering. While the greenhouse isn't terribly big, it lets us garden the year round to some degree. One section of the gardens I'd like to run several heads of lettuce, so we can keep chopping them for salad, although I'm torn between doing that or kale. Not sure where to put tomatoes, I'm going through charts on companion plants and trying to arrange accordingly. Green peppers, cayenne, garlic, onion, cucumber, rainbow carrots are what we've agreed on, and are looking into some odd plants or heirlooms for fun with the leftover space(no plum saplings this year, fucking squirrel dug up the seeds I cold stratified in the freezer). Also does bonemeal attract too many animals? I've been grinding some up from hunting leftovers but I don't want my fertilizer rooted through by possums.
