>>1422001>>1422228The Wave and Charge are pretty much the same, except that Charge has different limited runs (AL,TTI) which means the handles are made out of aluminum or titanium. Wave has better blade steels, s30v if I'm not mistaking, while Charge has 154cm. Also, the Wave has torx pivots so that you can adjust the tension while the charge is bolted. Some see it as a fault, some see it as a plus.
The Signal is a gimmick mostly, the whistle and ferro rod are laughable. The only plus side of the Signal has a good striking surface which is quite helpful when /out/ing, but its again useless if you have a hatchet.
The Surge is a bit bigger than the Wave and Charge and has the large scissors instead of the saw and doesn't have the tiny screwdriver but has the awl/punch.
All in all, the Charge/Wave are you very best EDC choice. Make sure to get one with a good blade steel (not 440c) and a pocket clip and if you don't mind the weight, you'll have literally everything you will ever need as far as EDC goes.
I own(ed) around 6 leathermans including the Charge, Wave, Squirt, Signal, Wingman, so if you have questions I'll be glad to help.
