There are a lot of you out there right now, but you need to understand farming at any scale is hard and complicated. Seed isnt free, fertilizer isnt free, land, manpower, equipment, storage, product transportation, it all costs money and you need to budget for it. Some years weather and disease mean you just barely or dont quite have enough to pay for all that, othey years are excellent.
Your state or province has extension programs that offer education and resources, we love seeing new people get into agriculture. use the resources. You will be happier for it. We want to see you succeed and while its not impossible to get going on your own, it would be silly not to use the resources available.
