In the past couple of weeks I've swapped the tapered tubes for some latex bands, it doesn't have quite the same snap to it but it's a comparable power output for a far lighter draw weight I'm now getting 16.5J with the flatbands from the 18-ish J I was getting from the tapered tubes shooting a 4g, 9.5mm steel BB
Because the UK is nogunz and we have no game bigger than bunnies really, something like this is ideal for keeping in your daybag just for when opportunity for a free meal knocks
To git gud I used to shoot into a net at Trebor Extra stronk mints (they disappear in a puff when you hit them) you can become consistently accurate in a pretty small amount of time I found, half a dozen bandsets and 1k shots will have you well set (1k shots isn't as much as you think either!) Now I'm able to headshot bunnies at 25m, and take down birds at around the same too.
It's certainly not something to underestimate
