>>88123>>88129Socialization/stimuli really matter when it comes to GSD. If they are used to a lot of stimuli (and the experiences are mostly positive), then they will be a calmer, less stressed dog. If they aren't used to meeting new people, then meeting someone new is going to be a HUGE event for that dog and they will most likely respond fearfully. The more you get your dog /out/ doing fun things, the more bro tier your dog becomes.
>>88329This isn't entirely true. There are highly intelligent, highly trainable dogs (border collie, for example), and there are highly intelligent, almost impossible to train dogs (huskies come to mind here).
I have a golden retriever/yellow lab mix. Her favorite thing is killing small animals, closely followed by swimming. Last summer she killed a groundhog in a pic nic area in a state park... I quickly hid the evidence and walked away as if nothing had happened. She is 12 now, getting old :/
