>>1097627>>1097631Yeah usually with a bobber and worm you'll catch fish, but they do tend to be a little smaller. Same thing with a beetle spin. It sounds like your lure choice isn't the best for bigger fishes.
As for the plastic worms were you just casting them out into open water? If you know there's fish there that can work, but if there isn't any fish you can't catch them lol. The best place to catch bass 90% of the time will be around some kind of structure. Grass in the water, trees, ect. Anything the fish can hide in/around.
I would suggest getting some kind of swimbait like pic related to cover open water with. And maybe a craw imitation to cast to cover with.
