Im certainly not against utility or capital, but the whole world seems to operate under the assumption that there is nothing more than the two. Therein lies the problem. A true mark of societal maturity is conceivable restraint for things that provide benefits on a human or natural level. This is especially the case when one must choose between capital gain or more earthly considerations, as one can not exist with the other. Such is the case with the preservation of wilderness. Will society have to meet nature on intellectual terms or risk her destruction, or can the greedy and single-tracked minds be persuaded as is?
Trying to explore the issue here, but I dont think it has to do with one nation or religion or another.
