>>1749829Well that's unfortunate. But then again, not really. This is my first time and it's experimental, so the small scale is perfect for my purposes. I plant to utilize it for maybe a few years but not much longer than that cause I'll have probably moved somewhere else by then.
>>1749901>Usually, you stack it up pretty high so when you put soil on it the slope of repose is at max. Regardless, it won't be a problem for you or the plants if it isn't that high.Well that's good to hear that it won't be a problem. A little less than ideal, but it should do for my purposes. Perhaps it won't be a true "hill", but at the very least it should be an elevated bed or mound when I'm done with it. I plan to get really just a few seasons worth of usage out of it. In any case, even if it shrinks, it'll be one hell of a fertile spot of dirt in a couple years.
Btw, is this stuff good to throw in there? I was planning to put this stuff on as the branches/sticks layer, but I'm not sure if this will decompose optimally, or if at all. Would it be a problem to throw dried weeds in there as well? Will those decompose, or will they just become a problem for me later on if they survive instead?
