>>20104476'5 314 lardass here. You will be fine so long as you pace yourself and take it slow when going up inclines. Dont let gram weenies and ultralighters lead you down the wrong path on what is acceptable to use in the outdoors. If it works for you and you like it than who gives a shit if its 3 to 5 pounds heavier in total. One word of advice if your hiking in the cold since you are fat like me TAKE IT SLOW and avoid sweating when possible. Les Strouds saying of you sweat you die holds mostly true and even if you dont die if you get sweaty you will be cold as hell and miserable. Being Fat I am naturally a bit warmer than most but layers is important and wool>cotton and other fabrics. Wool holds 80 percent of its insulation value even if wet and its not gonna catch an ember like cotton would when close to the fire.
Also word of advice if you want to lose weight go on the keto or a very similar diet and avoid eating most carbs besides rice and a few other non processed grains in small amounts. I used to be 350 pounds less than 4 months ago and through a mix of diet change and starting to work out I feel a whole hell of a lot better and no longer do I feel as sluggish all the time.
Best of luck to you and your adventures anon.
